Cart assistance for WooCommerce
Let customers manage their cart without leaving chat
Some customers would rather ask than click around. CognitCXT can add a product to a logged-in customer's cart, change a quantity, remove an item or apply a coupon code — directly in WooCommerce, visible on the cart page immediately.
Example conversation
Can you add 2 of the ceramic mug set to my cart?
Done — 2x Ceramic Mug Set added to your cart ($34.00 each). Your cart total is now $68.00.
Does the code WELCOME10 work?
Yes — WELCOME10 applied: 10% off. Your new total is $61.20. Anything else before you check out?
Shopping by chat shouldn't be a dead end
A customer who asks "can you add this to my cart?" or "does code SAVE10 work?" in chat usually just gets told how to do it themselves — an extra step that loses some of them.
Coupon confusion is its own category of question: codes that are mistyped, expired, or already applied. Checking each one by hand is small but constant work.
How it works
- 01
Customer asks in chat
For example, "add 2 of the ceramic mug set to my cart" or "does WELCOME10 work?"
- 02
Assistant updates the real cart
It checks stock before adding, validates the coupon, and makes the change directly in WooCommerce.
- 03
Change shows up immediately
The customer sees the updated cart and total on your cart page, ready for checkout.
Why store owners use it
Real cart changes, not just answers
The assistant adds items, changes quantities, removes items and applies coupons directly in WooCommerce.
Stock-checked before adding
It won't add more than what's actually in stock, including for specific product variations.
Coupon help without a ticket
It checks whether a code exists, is valid and isn't already applied, and explains the result either way.
One less step to checkout
A logged-in customer goes from asking a question to a ready cart without re-explaining what they want to your team.
Frequently asked questions
Can it complete checkout and take payment?
No. It can add items, change quantities, remove items and apply coupons, but the customer completes checkout and payment themselves on your store.
Does it work for guests?
No. Cart actions only work for a logged-in customer's own cart, the same as order lookups and refunds.
What if a coupon code is wrong or already used?
The assistant tells the customer why — for example, that the code doesn't exist or is already applied — rather than guessing.
Can it add a specific size or colour, not just a product?
Yes, if the customer mentions the variation — like size or colour — the assistant adds that exact variation, not a default one.
